We are very proud of the excellent outcomes achieved by our children, in their development as well-rounded learners who are aware their own needs and feelings and those around them as well as in their achievement in standardised assessments.
In Foundation Stage the children are assessed against 17 Early Learning Goals. In Year One, repeated in Year Two if necessary, the children undertake a Phonics Check to see if they have learnt their phonics and are “Working At” the necessary standard (at least 32/40 words decoded accurately). In Year Two they are assessed against the end of Year Two Standards and whether they are Working Towards the Expected Standard, Working At the Expected Standard or Working at Greater Depth Within the Expected Standard for the end of Year Two in Reading, Writing, Maths and Science.
